An outbreak of avian flu in Brazil’s domestic market could lead to production losses, price disruptions, bankruptcies, etc. As the worldwide leader, Brazil assumes 34% of total poultrymeat export volumes and 5% of the total global consumption. There are few alternatives to Brazilians exports while current robust global demand continues.
